One cover band, multiple moments
Uptown Coverband is a versatile cover band for corporate events, company parties, drinks, conferences, meetings, weddings and galas. With flexible lineups, our own sound and lighting, plus additions such as an Uptown DJ, saxophonist, and extra show options, we offer the right live experience for every moment.
- From atmosphere to party — reception, drinks, dinner and evening party
- Flexible formations — XS, The Coverband, XL, sax and Uptown DJ
- Practically arranged — own sound, lighting and clear agreements
The Cover Band: our most booked formation for the party part
The Coverband is our most booked formation and the foundation for an energetic party night. With three vocalists, guitar, keys, bass guitar, and drums, it forms a complete live band with a rhythm section, harmonies, and plenty of interaction.
It is not the number of guests, but the desired context that determines the right choice. De Coverband can also work excellently for 50 to 100 people, provided the music carries the dance floor.
- Ideal for company parties, business events, weddings, and galas
- Best foundation for a dance night with live energy
- Can be expanded with a saxophonist, Uptown DJ, or XL formation

Saxophonist as an addition: extra atmosphere, luxury, and live experience
A saxophonist can be added to Uptown XS and De Coverband. With Uptown XS, the saxophone adds extra atmosphere, warmth, and luxury during receptions, drinks, dinners, ceremonies, or meetings. With De Coverband, the saxophone provides more dynamics at the front, extra solos, and a more energetic live experience.
- Extra atmosphere and luxurious appearance
- More interaction and solos
- Big impact without major stage expansion

Uptown XL: extra show, percussion and stage impact
Uptown XL is the expanded show formation of Uptown Coverband and builds upon De Coverband. This formation is expanded with a saxophonist and percussionist for more movement, rhythmic energy, and visual impact.
- For galas, larger corporate parties, high-end events, and festivals
- More show, presence, and stage experience
- Requires more space, but delivers visibly more impact in return
Uptown XS: atmospheric live music for reception, drinks, dinner, or ceremony
Uptown XS is ideal for moments where live music adds atmosphere without taking center stage. Think of a reception, business drinks, a reception, a conference moment, a meeting, dinner, a walking dinner, or a ceremony.
Because Uptown XS has no drummer or bassist, this formation is less suitable as the headliner for a dance night. For extra atmosphere, Uptown XS can be expanded with a saxophonist.
- Compact, stylish and atmospheric
- Perfect for reception, drinks, dinner, and ceremony
- Can be combined with De Coverband or Uptown XL for the party part.
One cover band for multiple moments of your event
A party or event often consists of multiple phases. During the reception, conference, meeting, drinks, or dinner, music revolves around atmosphere and timing. Later in the day or evening, the energy can be raised, and live music becomes the driving force of the party.
Therefore, Uptown Coverband can grow with the program: from Uptown XS to De Coverband or Uptown XL, optionally with Uptown DJ as an expansion.
Which formation suits your party or event?
Unsure which formation fits best? Then we primarily look at the role of the music within the program. Should the music add atmosphere during the reception, drinks, conference, or dinner? Or should the band fill the dance floor later in the evening? Based on that, we recommend Uptown XS, De Coverband, Uptown XL, or a combination with a saxophonist and Uptown DJ.

Uptown DJ: optional upgrade for a non-stop evening
The Uptown DJ is an optional addition to a booking of Uptown XS, De Coverband, or Uptown XL and is not booked separately. This ensures the musical program remains a cohesive whole.
We work with regular DJ partners who are familiar with Uptown Coverband, our repertoire, our working methods, and the agreements made. As a result, the DJ seamlessly aligns with the live sets and the structure of the evening.
- Music between and after the live sets
- No silences in the program
- One musical line from drinks to afterparty
Practically arranged with its own sound, lighting, and extensions
Uptown Coverband is musically flexible and practically well-organized. We assist with planning, technical aspects, setup, music selection, sound, lighting, and coordination with the venue.
We have our own sound and lighting equipment and can expand this for larger venues, technical requirements, or a more immersive show experience. Think of a stage, light show, illuminated dance floor, extra set, or sound technician.
- Own sound and light
- Extensions for larger locations
- Clear agreements and practical coordination
- Experienced cover band that collaborates on location and program

Frequently asked questions about Uptown Coverband formations
Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about our formations, expansions, and availability for business events, company parties, drinks receptions, conferences, meetings, weddings, galas, and private parties. Is your question not listed? Feel free to contact us.
Which Uptown Coverband formation is booked the most?
The Cover Band is our most booked formation and the foundation for an energetic party night. This formation consists of three vocalists, guitar, keys, bass guitar, and drums, and is suitable for corporate parties, business events, weddings, galas, anniversaries, and private parties.
What live music suits a business reception or conference?
Uptown XS is highly suitable for business drinks, receptions, conferences, meetings, or dinners. This compact formation provides atmospheric live music that supports without overpowering. For extra flair, Uptown XS can be expanded with a saxophonist. Later in the day or evening, the setup can be scaled up to De Coverband or Uptown XL.
When do you choose to add a saxophonist?
A saxophonist is a great addition when you want more atmosphere, a luxurious look, and a live experience. At Uptown XS, the saxophone provides extra warmth and atmosphere during receptions, drinks, dinners, ceremonies, conferences, or meetings. At The Coverband, the saxophone ensures more dynamics at the front, extra solos, and a more energetic party experience.
When do you choose Uptown XL?
Uptown XL is suitable when you want more show, movement, and stage impact. This formation builds upon De Coverband and adds a saxophonist and a percussionist. The percussionist requires more space but also provides more visual energy and a more powerful overall picture on stage.
Is The Coverband also suitable for 50 to 100 people?
Yes. The Coverband can also be booked perfectly well for 50 to 100 people. The number of guests does not automatically determine the right formation. The context is more important: do you want atmospheric background music, a stylish drinks setting, or a dance evening with live energy? For a dance evening, we recommend The Coverband as a foundation, because drums and bass guitar provide groove, energy, and danceability.
What is the difference between Uptown XS and De Coverband?
Uptown XS is intended for atmospheric moments such as receptions, drinks, dinners, conferences, meetings, or ceremonies. The cover band features drums and bass guitar, making it better suited for a party evening with a dance floor.
What is the difference between a sax expansion and Uptown XL?
A saxophonist adds extra atmosphere, luxury, and frontman presence to Uptown XS or De Coverband. Uptown XL goes a step further and adds percussion alongside the saxophone. As a result, the show appears bigger, more dynamic, and more energetic, but the formation also requires more space on stage.
Can the Uptown DJ also be booked separately?
No. The Uptown DJ is an add-on to a booking of an Uptown formation and is not booked separately. We work with regular DJ partners who align with the Uptown Coverband concept and are familiar with our working methods, agreements, repertoire, and the structure of the evening. As a result, the combination of live band and DJ feels like a unified whole.
Can you also provide musical entertainment for business events, conferences, and meetings?
Yes. Uptown Coverband is versatile and suitable for business events, company parties, drinks receptions, conferences, meetings, galas, and staff parties. We tailor the music selection, lineup, and energy to the moment within the program.
Are you bringing your own sound and lighting?
Yes. Uptown Coverband has its own sound and lighting. For larger venues or specific requests, upgrades are possible, such as extra sound equipment, a light show, a stage, an illuminated dance floor, an extra set, or a sound technician.
Can you provide multiple moments at a single event?
Yes. For example, we can start with Uptown XS during the reception, business drinks, reception, dinner, or ceremony, and later scale up to The Coverband or Uptown XL for the party part. With the Uptown DJ as an addition, the music continues playing between and after the live sets. Because we work with regular partners, everyone involved is aware of the agreements, wishes, and musical structure of the evening.
